I'd Rather Be Your Mommy is written by Stacy Farrell and can be purchased in both a hardcover print and in digital format. We received a downloadable PDF version for the review. We also received I'd Rather Be Your Mommy Coloring Book Edition and I'd Rather Be Your Mommy Print Set.
The digital book can be read on your computer, iPad or even your kindle. It is a colorfully illustrated book with 32 pages. This book was written as a way to make intentional time to connect with our children each evening. So often we get caught up in the rush of life, we don't take time to slow down & cherish the little things. This book reminds us moms that we truly do have the best job in the world! It's also a way for our children to hear that we would much rather be their mom than to dive in the ocean to find a treasure or to be the president (specific examples that the book stated). It even reminded us of the most mundane things like getting spit up on is something we'd totally do again and again just to be their mom!
Also available to purchase is the entire book in a coloring book format. We picked some of my girls' favorite pages out to print. They then worked on coloring their pages as we read the book.
This was a great way for them to feel like they were apart of the story. You could print out the entire coloring book for your child to customize their own book to read each night!
The other item we received was a set of 3 digital prints that you could have professionally printed out in 8x11 size to hang somewhere as a constant affirmation and reminder that being a mom IS a blessing and the best job ever!
Overall, it is a really cute book to read with a young child. I personally prefer an actual book when reading at night time with my little ones BUT with that said, having a digital copy that you can pull up even on your phone is handy for when you are out and about and need a distraction for your child.
