The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13

Photobucket

If you are stopping by Treasuring Life's Blessings for the first time, welcome!!! This is my 2nd year of participating in the Ultimate Blog Party and it's always fun to discover new blogs to read and make some new friends as well.

My name is Jenn and next month will mark 3 years since I started my blog sharing about my journey with our son Noah. He is one of my soon-to-be 7 children (#7 due next month).

I am blessed to be able to homeschool my kids so you will find me sharing antics about our daily life as well as curriculum reviews. I also host giveaways from time to time as well!

I have a passion for cooking & love being able to talk about new recipes I try with others. Of course, having a large family also means I get creative in finding ways to save money and I share those tips occasionally on Money Saving Mondays. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, you'll find me sharing about many other things here as well!

Overall, I try to live out my blog name & am learning to truly Treasure Life's Blessings, both big & small, good & not so good. After all, each moment of our life has a purpose and I enjoy sharing a glimpse of that with you! So get comfy, make a cup of tea and feel free to browse around my little neck of cyberspace.  Leave me a comment & let me know where you are visiting from so I can say hi as well! Thanks for stopping by!

You can also connect with me at:

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. "

  1. Having lost 2 children - Heather at 3 1/2 years and Sam stillborn at 26 weeks. I love your mickey mouse picture.

    Mine would be ...

Mickey hat, Mickey hat, Jam in a Mickey hat, Boo in a Mickey hat, and Little J in a Mickey hat.

    Fun but meaning full!

    1. Oh Lisa, I'm so sorry for your losses of both Heather & Sam, it's just heartbreaking. I love being able to talk about Noah & I hope you also are able to freely share about your precious children as well. Know you are always welcome here to share about them! I plan to do a remembrance sky lantern release again this year for Noah's birthday like I did last year. http://treasuringlifesblessings.blogspot.com/2012/07/noahs-lantern-release-video.html Stop back again in the coming month to sumbit Heather & Sam's names, I'd love to remember them with you!

What a beautiful photo of your children, and a great remembrance of a blessing taken from you way too soon.

    1. It's amazing to find out how many of us homeschool moms are out there!

And thank you for the compliment on the picture. It's bittersweet making sure ALL my kids are included in pictures.

  4. I'm so glad you stopped by my blog to say hi. I just have to tell you that your verse at the bottom of your post was just a great reminder for my hubby (because I'm going to tell him). Yesterday his whole department got laid off without any warning what so ever. As we trust in the Lord, my husband had to rest on that same verse to go to work this morning without a bad attitude. Because it would be our nature to want to have an attitude. So I just wanted to say thank you for that confirmation that I'll be passing on to my hubster.
    Have a lovely day.

  7. This is my first visit to your blog although we are also a large homeschooling family. I have spent the past half hour or so reading your son Noah's story with tears streaming down my face. I am so sorry for your loss and glad that you have chosen to share your grief to comfort and help others.

  18. Hi, I found you through UBP13. I'm kind of a newb to blogging, but I'm loving it so far. I'm an educator, former foster parent (for kids with emotional, physical, and mental disabilities) and adoptive dad of two kiddos with special needs. It's been great reaching out, talking to, and hopefully helping other families! My whole blog is all about learning to learn and helping families succeed using brain-based practices. Come check it out. I think you will like it! www.wiselearners.com

  19. ’m late! I’m late! I’m stopping by from the UBP13. You have a gorgeous family! I too have angel babies. My first baby at birth and my only daughter at age seventeen. Oh what I've learned from them. I hope you stop by our party for a slice of warm banana bread and cold milk.
    Hugs,
    Cathi
