With it being summer, there are many reading programs out there for kids of all ages to participate in. My younger children often read anything I picked up for them at the library but as they got older, they started being more specific in what they wanted to read. I am joining up with the Schoolhouse Review Crew to share some of what my older children have read and enjoyed.
- The Hunger Games Trilogy Out of the 3 books in this series, my girls said their favorite was the first one, The Hunger Games.
- Anne of Green Gables Series Ahh this is one of my favorite childhood series! (I also liked the movies as well!)
- The Cay
- One of the Survivors
- Gifted Hands; The Ben Carson Story
- The Cage
- Any books by Janette Oke (she is another one of my favorites!)
What do YOUR middle school children enjoy reading??

I'm actually planning to read Anne of Green Gables myself this summer. Can you believe I have never read this? My bookworm girl has already read it. She's been reading all of the books in the Redwall series this summer.

Oh wow! You will love it! Once you get through the first 2 books, take time to watch the movie (should be able to find it at the library). I enjoyed the movies as much as the books!
