Christmas Love Letters from God - Giveaway

I can hardly believe we are already entering the Christmas season! The temperatures have dropped and Christmas music is already playing on the radio. My kids and I have been talking about some of our favorite holiday traditions as well as brainstorming new ideas.

One new tradition this year has come in the form of a newly released book to read to my younger children. A special book about Jesus' birth!

2 years ago I had the blessing to correspond with author, Glenys Nellist, when she wrote the book Love Letters from God. A year later, she wrote the book Little Love Letters from God. I am excited to introduce her latest children's book in her Love Letters collection entitled "Christmas Love Letters from God".

Like her last 2 Love Letter books, this one also includes short "love letters" from God throughout the book in the form of lift-a-flaps. This hard cover book contains 7 individual stories that are all apart of the Christmas story surrounding Jesus' birth:

• Isaiah's Good News
• Mary's Song
• Joseph's Dream
• Bethlehem's Road
• Jesus Joy!
• Shepherd's Surprise
• Wise Men's Wonder

Each of these individual stories is based on the Bible and contains the passage that the story is being told from. In addition to each story there is also a dearly written poem that accompanies each story. My girls loved hearing how the words rhymed as I read it to them. There is also a special Bible verse for the story and finally the special love letter from God. Each love letter has a blank space that you can write the name of the child in to personalize it for them. Each letter ties in with the story that was just read.

The beautiful illustrations are colorful and appealing to the eye without being overwhelming. The book shares the Christmas story in a way that makes it easy to understand, especially for ages 4-8. At the end of the book, there is a blank letter for the child to personalize their own love letter to God.

Since there are 7 stories, I plan to start the week before Christmas and read my girls one story each evening to lead up to our celebration of Jesus' birth!
