Love Letters from God:Bible Stories for a Girl's Heart Review & Giveaway

So often you hear stories about men of the Bible but you rarely hear about the women from the Bible. Author Glenys Nellist recently added another wonderful book to her Love Letters from God series. She set out to highlight stories of women from the Bible and how they were used by God. She shares stories about 14 different women such as Eve, Deborah, Mary, Martha, etc

Each of the stories recounts the Bible story in a way young girls can understand. The titles of the stories highlight what each girl is known for, such as "The Prayerful Girl" or "The Busy Girl". Listed with each story was the Bible reference where the story could be found at in the Bible.

The stories each spanned 2 pages and had colorful images that held my daughters attention as I read it to them. At the end of the story, there is a lift-the-flap letter to be read, a special note from God as if He is talking to your daughter personally. There is even a space for you to personalize it and write in your child's name.

This book quickly became a favorite of my young daughters! We made a special time before bed to read one of the stories, the Bible verse that was on each page as well as the love letter from God. It gave us then a chance to talk about the girl we read about and how God used her in the Bible. We then could also try to relate to her with our own situations and talked about how God can use my daughters just like he did the women in the Bible.
