Ultimate Blog Party

I love participating in blog parties/blog hops as it's a great way to discover some neat blogs I might not have found on my own. I've also been able to connect with some neat women this way as well.

So with that said, if you are stopping by here from the UBP, welcome! Just some things about me:

-I'm a homeschooling mom of 6 kids, one of whom lives in Heaven
-I enjoy photography (when I get the chance that is!)
-I am open and honest especially when sharing about my journey of grief
-I LOVE to cook and often post recipes and their pictures here
-I enjoy trying out new curriculum with my kids and doing reviews for companies
-I am an avid gardener and have a huge garden (that is well underway this year already!)
-It's my hope and prayer to help support other moms who find themselves on a similar journey of grief and loss, because it's only by God's grace and the support of dear friends that I am where I am since Noah died.

So feel free to look around, check out my Facebook page (where I have a neat album of pictures people send me of Noah's name), drop me a message here or an email (found on the right side) if you'd like to chat. And stay tuned for some neat changes coming up here as well as a full blog makeover from Fran at Small Bird Studios.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi, I'm a new follower from the Ultimate Blog Party. I'm enjoying looking around your blog, stop by and say Hi if you get some time. #UBP12

PS We have a couple of things in common. My name is Jenn and my hubby is Kevin and I homeschool our 2 children. Although I didn't ever give birth to any of my children I did suffer 6 miscarriages and then had to have a hysterectomy BUT God blessed with 2 precious children through adoption.

  5. Tesha, we definitely DO have a lot in common! It's amazing how God orchestrates friendships just when we need them the most! :)

Jenn, nice to meet you and wow, we have a lot of similarities! I look forward to reading along with you & getting to know you. :)

Thanks for stopping by Ashley, it has been a lot of fun and I look forward to catching up with your blog. :)

Thanks Kate! God sure has been using my son's life and our testimony in a lot of ways! I again look forward to your "motherly mentoring". :)

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog. My son, Ryan, died 2 years ago at 24 years old. He took his own life. I praise God that I had started blogging and shared some of his childhood stories before he died. God kept me safe in His arms and I started writing my journey the day after his death under the label, Ryan.
Sorry to hear you too lost a son. No parent should outlive their kids. I will be praying for your mother's heart.

  7. Hi Joyful,
Thanks for stopping by. I read a little more about your precious Ryan. From the bit I read, the things you post about I can SO relate to, your feelings, your thoughts, etc. No matter how our sons left this earth, the void they have left behind is similar. Praise God for the grace He has given us to keep putting one foot in front of another. Thank you for the prayers!

  9. Jenn- so great to meet you! I give credit to moms who homeschool. I don't have children YET, but when I do, one day (Lord-willing) I would love to homeschool.

Now I'm off to look around your blog more :)

    Blessings!

P.S.- Reading the other Jenn's comment- how amazing is that with the similarities (even both of you being married to a kevin) -wow-!
